Happy New Year!
New year, new blog. Our hope and prayer for 2017 is that we all know Christ, or rather be known by Him. May our affections for Him deepen roots and stretch branches.
As we get the hang of writing on a regular basis, we want to let you know about a few ongoing posts you will see here. These will be our bread and butter for now:
1. Heidelberg Catechism – Andrew will be doing a weekly post on this great devotional reformed Q/A. It is sound theology in 52 digestible units. Tighten your knowledge of God and His gracious work of redemption. Knowledge of God leads to praise of God.
2. Psalms – Every week we will seek to know Christ in a particular Psalm. There will be anywhere from 1 to 4 posts per week. Michael has odds, Andrew has evens. We hope to go straight through from Psalm 1 to Psalm 50 this year.
We would love to have you join us in one or both of these weekly readings. Remember, one Psalm per week, one question from the Heidelberg. We like to keep it simple.
Additionally, we’ll be posting other articles and such here and there. Let us know of any topics, questions, or current events that may be helpful to address. We don’t have all the answers, but we love digging and we can’t afford seminary. Result? Lux Post.
Now you may be thinking, why the name “Lux Post”? We’ll shed some light on that later!
Lux to you,
